School-Aged kids & Youth:

Join us for a delicious meal and a learning session all about skills for adulthood. These sessions will cover everything from taxes, renting, budgeting, careers and employment, credit scores and sex ed. 

(Ages 15-30)

We’ll entertain your school aged kids on PD days throughout the school year! Each day follows a different theme and features games, stories, crafts, activities and more!

A chance for homeschooling families to come together to achieve common goals and enrich the home education experience with creativity, companionship, and adventure. Themes rotate through art, social, nature, and STEM.

A parenting program designed to be taken by a parent or caregiver and their tween (7-12 years of age). This program is intended to strengthen the confidence and ability of parents to positively influence the lives of their school-aged children. The goal is to support parents and children in the transition to adolescence. My Tween and Me works to promote positive youth development, foster resilience in middle childhood and adolescence, and strengthen family relationships. 

Summer Camp offers opportunities for children ages 5 (or entering Kindergarten in September) - 12 from all socioeconomic backgrounds to enjoy full days of themed activities in a supportive and inclusive environment. Each week will feature indoor and outdoor play, art & crafts, & the chance to try new recreational activities. We focus on all aspects of recreation while team building and encouraging activities that promote wellness, diversity, and inclusion. 

  The FRC’s vision is to be a support for all families in Portage la Prairie and the surrounding area. When collaboration with community partners indicated that there is a strong need for after-school care in our area we worked to determine the need and have determined that the best way to meet that need is with this pilot afterschool program.
