Our Board:

Is a voluntary committee that is responsible for the governance of the Portage la Prairie Family Resource Centre (FRC), operationally known as the Family Resource Centre (FRC).  The Board of Directors establishes the organization’s overall purpose, plans, and policies; supervises the Executive Director; and ensures the that the organization complies to rules, regulations, and funding contracts.

Executive Committee

The role of the Executive Committee is to ensure that the overall operation of the Corporation is conducted in such a manner that meets the objectives of the corporation.

Budget & Finance Committee

The role of the Budget & Finance Committee is to ensure that financial operations of the Corporation are executed according to funding and corporation requirements.

Parent Advisory Committee

The role of the Parent Advisory Committee is to ensure the corporation is meeting the needs of families by providing relevant programming and ensures evaluation activities are carried out to improve programming.

Fundraising Committee

The role of the Fundraising Committee is to ensure on going fundraising activities to supplement the income of the corporation.

• Our Board of Directors meets the 3rd Monday of each month (excluding July & August) at 5pm.
• Each member is asked to serve a two-year term up to a maximum of six-years.
• Our Board consists of not more than nine and no less than four Directors at any given time.
• Board Members may sit on various other Standing Committees.
